How can I report a damaged or missing street name, stop, yield, or other traffic control sign?: Damaged or missing signs may be reported by calling 903.798.3968 or preferably by accessing the online Citizens Complaint System. If it is a stop sign or yield sign after normal working hours, please report directly to the Texarkana Police Department (911,) so they can contact someone for after hours repair/replacement.

1. Why is there no speed limit sign on my street?: The City Ordinance establishes a maximum speed of 30 MPH for all streets not otherwise signed. Because there are many miles of residential streets with a speed limit of 30 MPH it is not practical to sign every block.

2. Who do I call if there is a problem with speeding on my street?: The Police Department has responsibility for enforcement of the speed limits.

3. Can I get a "Slow, Children at Play" sign installed on my street?: No, the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, which the city has adopted as its guide, does not class this as an allowable sign, and it is not enforceable. The city does sign school zones, and school crossings in order to enhance safety around the schools.
